Liverpool International Mela is a celebration of not only Merseyside's South Asian culture but a showcase for new performance work, from emerging communities and refugee artists. This year's Mela will hosts a new commissioned street arts performance, developed in partnership with London and Bradford Melas. 

 

The final large-scale events within our festival (Liverpool International Carnival, the World in Princes Park and The Liverpool International Mela) will take place on Saturday July 24th 2010 and will play a significant part within the North West's Cultural Olympiad "Open Weekend".
